To serve families and small businesses in the Wenatchee Valley with high-quality, cost-effective computer and technology support.

We do things differently

Recognition IT is a late-afternoon, evening, and weekend support business intended for those with computer service needs that fall outside of the typical workday.

All of our business data resources are cloud-based: customer communication, website, support ticket system, advertising, invoicing, and payment. We do not operate out of a storefront - just a home office. This helps us to be much more efficient and keep our operating costs low.

To keep things simple, we only bill customers for our service time. Our service rate is $100 per hour with sales tax already included (when applicable).

We do not provide any equipment for re-sale. Instead, we research the best equipment options and prices available and provide those to our customers. Our customers may then order the equipment they desire, ship it directly to us or deliver it to us, and then we provide configuration, installation, and troubleshooting service. The time we spend researching equipment and providing ordering information is billable.

Resources like our Find Answers page and low-cost equipment resellers are intended to help our customer’s save money they might otherwise lose to retail mark-up costs.

Our Guarantee: If we cannot adequately recommend, fix or improve upon your equipment, we will not bill you.

What We can do for you

Computer Repair

We service both PC and Apple computers. If you fill out our Get Help! form we can schedule a time for you to drop off the computer so we can diagnose it. If it looks like the repair request will take more than 30 minutes of billable time, we will contact you with a verbal estimate before proceeding.

Laptop Repair

We can replace damaged screens, old batteries, damaged power cables, and numerous other components. If you fill out our Get Help! form we can schedule a time for you to drop off the laptop so we can diagnose it. If it looks like the repair will take more than 30 minutes of billable time, we will contact you with a verbal estimate before proceeding.

Tablet Repair

Tablet repairs are something we can do but it is important to consider a few things before investing in tablet repair. For example, it is difficult to know whether or not there is additional underlying damage when repairing a tablet (like a screen replacement for example). In the event a tablet repair is not successful, we will not charge you for our service, but you may be out the cost of the replacement screen/parts. It is also important to be aware of the total repair costs. Often times it may be better to purchase a new tablet rather than invest in parts and repairs. Screen replacements, for example, may easily exceed $100+. If you fill out our Get Help! form we can schedule a time for you to drop off the tablet so we can take a closer look at it.

Upgrades

Do you want to breath new life into an older computer? We provide quick, cost-effective upgrade solutions. Some upgrades can take less than 30 minutes of billable time and cost less than $100 total. If you fill out our Get Help! form we can help you determine what upgrades will work best for you.

Recommendations

Not sure what to purchase? We provide recommendations on new equipment, and equipment upgrades. While it shouldn’t take long, the time we spend providing you with our recommendations is billable. The value in finding quality equipment for lower costs is well worth it. If you fill out our Get Help! form we will contact you to discuss options. Once we get the particulars we will e-mail you with direct links to equipment and costs (and let you choose what to order from various suppliers). Internet Safety Consulting

We want to help your family, loved ones, and those using your internet service to be safe. There are many resources available to help protect against unwelcome internet content. Several of them are even free to use for both home and business users. We can recommend safety solutions, walk you through setting them up, or even configure them for you. Even if you feel you cannot afford our services, this is one area we feel strongly enough about that we will assist you at a much reduced rate or even at no cost if necessary. Looking for a solution to meet all your wired/wireless needs?
